Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in Concord, NC seeks a Meat Clerk to provide high-level customer service in a fast-paced, fresh-food environment.

You will receive, store and grind meats, unload deliveries, and rotate stock to prevent aging while assisting customers with questions and special orders. Work includes following safety guidelines, maintaining clean workspaces, and applying the store programs such as Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines in the Meat department.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport meats from deliveries.
• Count and weigh incoming articles and verify against invoices; rotate meats to prevent aging.
• Provide high level customer service; answer questions and assist with special orders.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations.
• Follow the 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs and comply with department procedures.
