Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Linden, NJ is seeking a Meat Department Associate to receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandize fresh and processed meats. You will assist with seafood, rotisserie, prepared foods, and cheeses while helping Members with product questions and recommendations. Maintain safety and cleanliness in the meat department.

The role requires prior meat/deli experience and familiarity with automatic and manual wrapping machines. Must be 18 years or older.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience in meat and/or deli department preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Assists meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment and displays in the meat department.
