Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Meat Wrapper to handle fresh meat products, ensure sanitary operations and accurate merchandising. You will wrap, weigh, label and price items, assist with ordering, and maintain display quality to maximize sales.

The role requires basic math, English proficiency, dependable hours, and flexibility to work across store areas. Prior experience in grocery perishables is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication.
• Must be dependable and flexible with little advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards.
• Maintains displays and case signs to maximize sales.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery and maintains cold chain.
• Completes cleaning and sanitation of meat cases and rooms.
• May assist with product ordering and merchandising.
