Job summary

Colonial Group is looking for a Meat Wrapper to learn and perform safe, sanitary handling of fresh meat and related products. You will wrap, weigh, price, and label cuts, rotate stock, display products attractively, and assist with ordering as needed.

You must be at least 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have basic math skills. English reading/writing is required, with Spanish or other languages a plus in some locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.

• Experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Learns to package beef, pork and poultry according to company policies.
• Wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat.
• Labels packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards.
• Maintains proper date rotation for products per policy.
• Prepares and places meat in display counter to look appealing.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat keeping cold chain.
