Job summary

Whole Foods Market requires a Team Member in Plano to support Prepared Foods by preparing, serving, and stocking a variety of hot and cold foods. You’ll engage customers with friendly service while maintaining sanitation and following SOPs.

You’ll contribute to a positive store image and help teammates as needed. You will assist on-floor tasks, support inventory checks, and ensure accurate pricing and signage.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators.
• Checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
