Job summary

Global Partners LP is hiring a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations, ensuring sanitation, store appearance and guest service. You’ll handle transactions, prep items, stock shelves, and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves operating registers, preparing a variety of deli products, and ensuring orders are fulfilled on time while adhering to company policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and/or evenings.
• 2 years of foodservice or retail management experience.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods, bend and twist, reach above shoulder height.
• Dexterity to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries (18+).
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions and give back change and refunds.
• Learn to operate registers, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, and store policies.
• Handle deli ingredients including meat, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, sauces and oils.
• Operate scale printers and ensure correct weights and pricing.
• Monitor product pricing, signage, and shelf placement.
• Keep checkout and production areas clean and orderly.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service items.
• Cook and prepare deli items such as fried foods, salads, sandwiches, beverages, meals and snacks.
• Work safely around slicers, ovens, burners and rotisseries.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely, satisfactory fulfillment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
