Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops welcomes motivated Fresh Food Coordinators to help oversee preparation, presentation, and quality of fresh food items while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. You will support the Fresh Food Manager and guide the kitchen team in delivering great customer service.

This role offers growth in a dynamic food-service environment, with responsibilities across inventory, supplier coordination, pricing, promotions, and cross-training opportunities within the store.

Qualifications

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures.
• Assist the Fresh Food Manager with proper task execution and completion while following effective safety practices.
• Work with and coach the team to prepare and package fresh kitchen items promptly to meet customer service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures.
• Assist the Fresh Food Manager with proper task execution and completion while following effective safety practices.
• Work with and coach the team to prepare and package fresh kitchen items in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results.
• Manage food inventory and ordering supplies to ensure stock is fresh and adequate.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage waste reduction efforts.
• Assist in pricing, promotions, and ensure the deli meets profitability goals.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Team Member, facility maintenance, and leadership roles.
