Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers and prepare fresh meals in a fast-paced setting. You will ensure deli items are properly prepared, displayed, and kept clean and safe.

Responsibilities include operating deli equipment, filling and rotating stock, handling special orders, and maintaining a hygienic workspace while providing friendly, attentive service to shoppers in Parker, Colorado.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for distances.
• Stand for up to 4 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Operate deli equipment and keep equipment in safe condition.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit.
• Work in cooler and freezer environments.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales and other deli equipment.
• Keep the deli area clean, safe, and sanitary.
