Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will help customers choose healthy foods, prepare fresh meals, and maintain a clean, organized deli area.

You will operate slicers and other deli equipment, handle special orders, and ensure proper product rotation and safety compliance. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
• Dependable and reliable with a positive attitude
• Strong communication and ability to interact with customers
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift
• Able to work in cool and freezer environments
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements (Food Handlers permit)

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy foods and preparing quick meals
• Ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, presented, and kept clean
• Fill, rotate, and maintain product displays
• Prepare special orders and party trays
• Operate deli equipment following standards
• Keep deli area clean and safe, including floors and shelves
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for quality and temperature
