Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to help customers by preparing fresh and easy meals and maintaining high standards in the deli area. You will operate slicers and other deli equipment, assemble orders and party trays, keep displays fresh, and ensure a clean, safe workspace while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in cooler and freezer environments.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented; keep deli area clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment (slicer, ovens, etc.) following standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
