Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent or applicable experience.
• Dependable and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Friendly demeanor and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to take special orders and answer phones.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and operate deli equipment.
• Follow safety regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and prepare fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure proper preparation, packaging, and presentation of deli items.
• Fill, maintain, rotate products and displays; handle special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales, and other deli equipment per standards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary deli area; clean shelves, floors, and equipment.
• Receive and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
