Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs., up to 20 feet, for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 4 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the deli area.
• Operate deli equipment safely and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing 'fresh and easy meals'.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, presented, and clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales and other deli equipment per standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
