Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and maintain a clean deli area. You will rotate displays, handle special orders, and operate deli equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for reliable team players who can work flexible hours, communicate well, and lift up to 70 lbs. Previous grocery or food-service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Ability to interact with customers and provide friendly service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Physically able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and prepare fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged and presented; keep area clean.
• Fill, rotate and display products.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely (slicer, ovens, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment quality and temperature.
