Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum requirements and show evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials that reflect students' learning needs.
• Assess student learning and use results to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs as needed.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals and methods per district requirements.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers as assigned.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
