• Review shipping documents for accuracy and maintain organized shipment records.
• Obtain and compare freight quotes, monitor transportation costs, and support cost-control efforts.
• Coordinate freight invoices and related documentation with appropriate parties.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, missing shipments, and documentation discrepancies.
• Coordinate container and receiving documentation to support accurate inventory movement.
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and workplace organization practices.

Position Summary

The Freight Specialist coordinates international shipments, reviews documentation, tracks freight costs, and maintains accurate shipment and inventory records. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys detailed, methodical work and takes pride in accuracy, reliability, and follow-through. Emphasis is placed on mastering assigned responsibilities and working effectively as part of a team rather than breadth of prior experience.
