Job summary

HDR is seeking a Freight Rail Coordinator/EIT to support project managers and engineers in developing track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates. The role requires hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and GEOPAK-route design, and a commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Ideal candidates will work on civil and track engineering tasks, including drainage, structural and utilities, and may progress toward EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads and GEOPAK-route design.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers to develop track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Take responsibility for civil and track engineering assignments, including drainage, structural and utilities tasks.
• Develop design criteria, project guides, project meeting notes, and project controls while supporting Project Manager.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
