Job summary

HDR is seeking a Freight Rail Coordinator/EIT to support track and civil design initiatives in our on-site teams across the United States—primarily in Brentwood, TN and Lexington, KY locations.

You will assist Project Managers and Engineers with design plans, cost estimates, drainage and utilities tasks, and contribute to project criteria, meeting notes, and controls while pursuing EIT certification for career growth within our employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and EIT certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads and GEOPAK-route design.
• Strong MS Office skills and railroad design interest.

Responsibilities

• Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers to develop track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Take responsibility for civil and track engineering assignments, including drainage, structural and utilities tasks
• Develop design criteria, project guides, project meeting notes, and project controls while supporting Project Manager
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
