Job description

RSI Logistics, recently acquired by Trinity Industries Inc., is seeking a Freight Payment Coordinator. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the freight accrual exception process for rail shipments and related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify empty and tariff rates as needed and upload them into the database.
• Use EDI 404/417 to confirm the Payer of Freight as needed.
• Manage accruals without invoice exceptions.
• Resolve accrual and invoice non-match exceptions and dispute as necessary.
• Create ad hoc reports.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in rail operations, freight payment, or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Understanding of general accounting practices.
• System savvy, with prior ERP or Rail TMS experience highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
