Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in St. Louis, MO to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, ensuring on-time delivery and safety compliance. You will develop procedures, manage workloads, and coach hourly staff to meet production goals while controlling costs.

As a key member of the team, you’ll enforce policy compliance (FMCSR, OSHA, DOT) and participate in safety committees, with competitive benefits starting day one and opportunities for incentive participation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and act as primary contact for workplace concerns and questions.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and other administrative functions.
• Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and regulations.
• Maintain compliance to optimize network performance and safety.
