Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to manage and improve daily freight operations across shifts. You will lead a team of hourly staff, develop procedures, and ensure timely, high-quality service for customer shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring current knowledge of LTL, DOT regulations, and strong leadership to drive safety, efficiency, and cost containment while meeting production goals and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse/distribution/supply chain/transportation
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules/regulations
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving demands
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks
• Supervise hourly staff and act as primary contact for workplace concerns
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions
• Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs
• Enforce policies and regulations (FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC, DOT)
• Protect customer freight to ensure timely, damage-free delivery
