Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and supervise all facets of freight operations, developing and implementing procedures to meet the department's evolving demands and ensuring timely, damage-free processing.

You will manage workloads, schedule hourly staff, enforce FMCSR/OSHA/DOT policies, coach employees, and drive productivity while maintaining safety and cost efficiency; excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and be the primary contact for workplace questions.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and administration.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, DOT policies and other regulations.
• Coach and develop employees and conduct evaluations.
