Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead all aspects of freight operations. You will supervise hourly staff, develop procedures, and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery while enforcing FMCSR, OSHA and DOT policies.

The role includes staffing, coaching, and implementing efficiency improvements within a dynamic logistics environment. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, company holidays, PTO, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and be the primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily operations goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce applicable policies and regulations (FMCSR, OSHA, DOT).
• Coach and develop employees on safety and quality requirements.
• Drive actions to improve load average and model compliance.
• Participate in safety and engagement committees.
