Forward Air Corp. in Groveport, OH seeks a Freight Brokerage Operations Specialist to serve as the link between customers, carrier partners, and internal sales teams, ensuring shipments move from pickup to delivery.

You will negotiate rates, coordinate transportation, support accounts, and drive high-quality service across assigned accounts. This on-site role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, proactive issue resolution, and collaboration with carrier sales to secure capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or related fields preferred.
• Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to interact across all organizational levels and resolve issues independently.
• Proficiency with Windows PCs, Microsoft Office, and web conferencing tools.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Sales and Account Management to support shipment execution.
• Coordinate and monitor truckload shipments from tender to delivery.
• Schedule pickups/deliveries and communicate statuses to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain ownership of assigned accounts and daily load activity.
• Develop relationships with customers and shippers to support growth opportunities.
• Serve as primary contact for shipment inquiries and resolve service issues.
• Collaborate with carrier sales to secure capacity aligned with requirements.
• Monitor shipment performance, track milestones, and manage exceptions.
• Maintain accurate shipment documentation and customer records in systems.
• Support onboarding, account implementation, and process improvements.
• Analyze operational challenges and propose efficiency improvements.
