Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in Saint Louis, MO to lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.

You will develop procedures to meet department demands, assign workloads, and manage payroll and administrative tasks while coaching staff on safety and quality requirements. The role requires 2 years of related experience in warehousing or logistics, LTL knowledge, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain or transportation.
• Knowledge of LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce all policies and regulations to optimize network performance.
• Ensure freight is processed, loaded and delivered timely and damage-free.
• Coach and develop employees on safety rules and quality requirements.
