Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead and optimize freight activities at our Saint Peters facility. You will manage workloads, schedules, and safety programs while ensuring timely, damage-free deliveries and compliance with industry regulations.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, knowledge of LTL and regulatory standards, and flexibility to work varied shifts. You will mentor staff and contribute to continuous improvement within a dynamic logistics

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary point of contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and other administrative functions.
• Plan hourly employee schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce all company, FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
• Train employees on safety rules and processes and monitor shift organization for safety and productivity.
• Provide instruction and ideas for improvement of operations within the shift and service center.
