Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor in the United States to lead and supervise all facets of freight operations. The role emphasizes implementing efficient procedures, managing workloads, and directing hourly staff across multiple operations while ensuring safety and compliance with FMCSR, OSHA, and DOT rules.

Qualifications

• 2 years in warehouse, distribution, supply chain or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving departmental demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and address workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce all policies and regulations.
• Train employees on safety and processes.
• Monitor organization and safety on shift.
• Conduct daily staff meetings and communicate policy changes.
