Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Manager in LaSalle, IL to lead daily service-center operations. You will oversee staffing, revenue and cost controls, and mentor all personnel at the facility to ensure safe, efficient delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related work experience
• Supervisory or management experience
• Experience in the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry
• Experience with hazardous materials regulations, OSHA and DOT rules and regulations
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
• Preferred: LTL/Service center management experience
• Preferred: Forklift experience
• Strong interpersonal and management skills; ability to lead, coach and influence employees

Responsibilities

• Handle the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery service provided to customers
• Guide the complete daily operations of the service center
• Oversee revenue, profit and cost controls
• Ensure proper staffing, utilization and management of personnel
• Mentor and manage all personnel working at the facility
