Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing is seeking a Freight Coordinator to manage transportation, schedule shipments, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery. This role acts as a liaison between customers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams to keep shipments moving and documentation accurate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, or freight coordination.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP software preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and/or international freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, suppliers, and customers.
• Monitor shipment status and communicate updates, delays, or issues with stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents, bills of lading, freight invoices, and customs paperwork.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, shortages, and transportation-related claims.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service teams to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain records in transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP systems.
• Trace all shipments to ensure on-time deliveries when necessary.
