Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to prepare items for shipment, verify documentation, and arrange transportation. You will coordinate outbound deliveries, maintain packing tickets, PODs, and related reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has 0–1 years warehousing experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to follow written and diagram-based instructions.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze technical, professional, and regulatory materials and effectively communicate with managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Proven problem-solving and comprehension abilities, applying judgement to follow written, oral, and diagram-based instructions and resolve standardized problems with multiple variables.
• Proficiency with office and business tools, including computers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other team members and managers to process outbound deliveries, making sure each job is sent as per customer specifications while meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including delivery tickets, POD's, receivers, and related reports and compile reports for division use.
• Identify, document, and help resolve product, process, or quality system nonconformities by initiating corrective or preventative actions and supporting proper disposition of product.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near misses or accidents immediately.
• Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
