Job summary

Penske is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement, process customer orders, and plan shipments into loads using Transportation Manager System. You will tender freight to third-party carriers and update the Transportation Manager System with shipment information, while responding to internal and external customer inquiries.

You will provide visibility to management and customers by tracking shipments, performing oversight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational

Responsibilities

• Load-building: add shipments to a load, rate a load, secure carrier coverage and appointment setting.
• Provide excellent Customer Service to assigned account(s).
• Call Center and shared email box responsibility.
• Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking shipments, process over-sight, auditing, load exception investigation, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
• Recover customer loads.
• Complete daily logs and trackers; provide detailed instruction for various customers and associates from other shifts by phone and e-mail.
