Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck to move freight across the dock area.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazmat) in system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or ropes.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
