Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freight Operations Process Analyst to drive operational excellence across freight forwarding and international transportation. You will work closely with operations, commercial teams, and executives to map current workflows and shape future state models.

The role offers significant stakeholder interaction, travel across the United States, and the opportunity to influence large-scale transformation initiatives within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in business analysis, operations improvement, process excellence, or consulting.
• Direct experience in freight forwarding, international transportation, or global supply chain environments.
• Experience leading discovery sessions and stakeholder workshops.
• Hands-on value stream mapping and process mapping experience.
• Knowledge of ocean/air freight, documentation, customs, brokerage, and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and workshops with operations, transportation, logistics, and commercial teams.
• Document current state processes across freight forwarding and international transportation workflows.
• Facilitate value stream mapping and process mapping exercises.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, delays, rework, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop process maps, SIPOC diagrams, workflow documentation, and assessments.
• Analyze metrics like cycle times, throughput, productivity, quality, and customer experience.
• Partner with leaders to develop practical improvement recommendations.
• Present findings, business cases, and transformation recommendations to management.
• Support implementation and tracking of improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, technology, finance, and commercial.
