Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or dock worker role preferred.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
• Physical strength and stamina for manual lifting and moving freight.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload freight from trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Organize freight by destination and shipping method to streamline dispatch.
• Record and maintain shipment documentation accurately.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards immediately.
• Operate and perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
• Coordinate with drivers and terminal staff for timely freight movement.
• Inspect inbound and outbound freight for damage or discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory records and participate in cycle counts.
• Assist in other terminal duties as needed.
