Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Dock Worker to facilitate loading and unloading of freight at the trucking terminal. You will ensure smooth flow of goods, maintain a safe work environment, and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, organizing shipments, recording details, and collaborating with drivers and terminal staff to ensure timely movement of freight. A high school diploma and willingness to work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse or dock work preferred.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Physical stamina for manual labor and lifting heavy freight.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Organize inbound and outbound freight by destination and shipping method.
• Record shipment details including quantity, weight, and destination.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately.
• Operate material handling equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Collaborate with drivers and terminal staff to coordinate freight movement.
• Inspect freight for damage or discrepancies and report issues.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts and audits.
• Support terminal operations and other areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
