Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to load/unload trailers safely.
• Accurate counting based on bills of lading/manifests.
• Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Maintain clean, organized dock area.

Responsibilities

• Proper loading in and out of trailers.
• Handle goods and equipment to avoid damage.
• Sort and label skids and place in proper locations.
• Perform inventory counts from bills of lading and manifests.
• Assist drivers in loading/unloading goods or equipment.
• Inspect forklift before use.
• Submit reports in a timely manner.
• Load and secure shipments according to procedures.
• Understand and implement safe freight handling procedures.
• Maintain punctual and reliable attendance.
• Provide on-the-job training to new staff as needed.
