Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking a Transportation & Freight Coordinator to manage outbound shipments across retail, B2B and trade channels. You will set up freight, monitor performance, and resolve issues with carriers and partners in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in freight, transportation, logistics, shipping, or similar coordination.
• Hands-on LTL shipment coordination or management experience.
• Experience coordinating processes with multiple steps, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Direct work with carriers, logistics providers, internal teams, and customers.
• Ability to manage a high volume of requests independently.
• Strong problem-solving and response to shipment disruptions.
• Proficiency with Excel and business systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Set up and coordinate approximately 1–20 freight shipments per week.
• Support a mix of LTL and FTL shipments, with heavier emphasis on LTL.
• Coordinate carrier pickups, delivery requirements, shipment details, and documentation.
• Monitor high-volume scheduled shipments and address service issues.
• Track shipments from setup through delivery with accurate status updates.
• Respond to ad hoc transportation requests across the business.
• Investigate missed pickups, delays, damages, and other issues.
• Communicate updates and recovery plans to carriers and stakeholders.
• Monitor carrier performance and follow up on recurring concerns.
• Partner with distribution centers, retail, B2B, customer service, and providers.
• Maintain transportation records, shipment data, and reports.
• Help streamline freight coordination processes and improve service.
