CSX is hiring a Freight Conductor to safely coordinate train crews, place rail cars for loading/unloading, and makeup/break down trains in yards or facilities. Training is provided in Atlanta with a hotel, and new hires may receive targeted earnings with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• One year of related experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to read and comprehend operating rules, bulletins, and instructions
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train crews and ensure compliance with FRA regulations
• Inspect equipment prior to departures and read bulletins and switch lists
• Receive and transmit information via radio/telephone
• Assist with coupling/uncoupling cars and operate switches
• Work with customers to ensure accurate car movement and service quality
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential rail safety issues
