Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Freight Clerk for a client in Ames, IA to support warehouse and shipping operations within the Logistics Department. You will process shipment requests, prepare picklists, coordinate freight, and assist with inventory questions.

The ideal candidate has two years of office support experience in logistics, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

• Two years of office support experience with emphasis in logistics preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and familiar with general office equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate high ethical standards, discretion, and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate order fulfillment by processing shipment requests and preparing picklists and pallet signs for the warehouse team.
• Support warehouse team with inventory questions and assist with lot changes to ensure accuracy.
• Manage multi-drop shipments, ensuring all shipments are accounted for and load orders are properly documented.
• Coordinate freight activities by quoting, selecting carriers, booking freight, and preparing shipment documents.
• Monitor stock inventory levels, identify shortages, and request inventory transfers in coordination with warehouse management.
