Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join a world-class logistics team. You will help deliver capacity solutions to transport customers’ loads across Werner’s extensive network, utilizing strong negotiation and communication skills.

New hires undergo a 3–6 month training to learn freight forwarding and brokerage sales, then transition to an individual contributor role in sales or operations with uncapped commissions. Strong drive and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of transportation industry.
• Logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• High-volume outbound calls daily to prospect new customers/shippers.
• Develop business with leads and clients to uncover vulnerabilities in transportation networks.
• Propose and implement solutions, close new business, and grow existing accounts.
