Job summary

Saia is seeking a Logistics Coordinator/Freight Broker to facilitate transportation services, sourcing carrier capacity, negotiating rates, and coordinating freight movements. You will serve as a key liaison between customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service.

Responsibilities include maintaining TMS records, communicating shipment status, and resolving service issues to uphold customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates transportation rates and pricing agreements with carriers to secure cost-effective capacity solutions.
• Maintains strong relationships with customers and carriers to support service excellence and business growth.
• Sources carrier capacity to meet customer transportation requirements and support consistent lane coverage.
• Coordinates pickup and delivery schedules to ensure on-time freight movement and alignment with customer expectations.
• Communicates shipment status updates, delays, and service exceptions to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintains transportation management systems (TMS) and shipment records to support operational visibility and data accuracy.
• Resolves service issues, escalations, and shipment discrepancies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to support customer satisfaction.

Education
