Job summary

Momentum Transportation USA, an award-winning Landstar Agent, is seeking a Billing Specialist to coordinate day-to-day billing workflows and ensure accurate processing of freight charges and documents. You will monitor freight rates and collaborate with the billing and operations teams to meet customer requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of high-volume billing experience, proficiency with MS Office, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years high-volume billing experience.
• Freight billing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit each shipment to verify charges, rate, and dispatcher notes.
• Prepare and release customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Ensure invoices are properly coded.
• Meet daily minimum billing standards.
• Learn and understand customer requirements in the billing process.
• Collaborate with billing teammates.
• Accept tenders, update customers, and finalize in the TBL system.
• Gather billing requirements for new customers with Operations.
• Maintain excellent customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication.
• Proactively identify problems and implement solutions.
• Escalate to Director of Billing as needed.
• Prioritize tasks to impact quality and service.
