Job summary

Country Fresh in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Freezer Supervisor to lead warehouse, freezer, and cooler operations. You will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory and material handling, collaborating with production, sales, and customer service to meet customer needs and drive safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in business, supply chain or related field.
• 2–5 years in warehouse/logistics with leadership experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a freezer environment (-20 degrees).
• Certification and/or license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign and monitor work; direct warehouse/cooler staff to meet business needs.
• Design and implement work methods and procedures for shipments and inventory.
• Maintain and reconcile inventories; finish month-end counts accurately.
• Determine material quantities and communicate needs to the appropriate area.
• Ensure timely delivery and efficient stock of materials for plant success.
• Inspect warehouse and equipment; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with union/non-union staff; apply work rules and policies.
• Promote teamwork; develop and retain a skilled staff; drive safety.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve methods for efficiency.

Education

Undergraduate degree in business administration / supply chain
