Job summary

Country Fresh in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Freezer Supervisor to lead warehouse, freezer, and cooler operations. You will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling, collaborating with production, sales, and customer service to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes accountability, food safety, quality and operational excellence, with a focus on team development, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain and logistics, or related curriculum.
• 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, cooler, distribution, production, logistics, or related environment with leadership.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a freezer environment with temperatures reaching 20°F below zero.
• Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign, monitor work and direct warehouse/cooler staff to meet business needs.
• Design and implement work methods and procedures for shipments, materials handling, and inventory.
• Maintain and reconcile inventories and month-end accuracy.
• Determine quantities of packaging, ingredients, finished products and communicate needs.
• Coordinate deliveries to ensure stock availability and efficiency.
• Inspect warehouse and equipment to meet safety standards.
• Promote teamwork and lead safety initiatives and reporting.
• Drive efficiency and cost containment through process improvements.
