Job summary

FreezPak Logistics in Suffolk, VA seeks a Freezer Lead to oversee daily freezer operations, lead a team, and ensure safety and quality. The role is on-site with a first shift (6am-2:30pm, M-F) in a cold environment, reporting to the Operations Manager.

About the Role

As our Freezer Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the freezer area, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety and quality standards, and leading a team of freezer workers. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a cold environment.

What You Bring to the Pak

• Support the operations team by ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping in the freezer.
• Guide team members to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors.
• Help track inventory levels and update records as needed.
• Assist with basic equipment checks and coordinate maintenance needs with the operations team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Pak

• Experience:
• 1-3 years in warehouse operations or within cold storage
• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certifications:
• Additional education or certifications in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to work in a freezer environment with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 32°F.

Pay Range: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour

This pay range represents the Company’s good-faith estimate of the starting hourly compensation for this role at the time of posting. The actual rate will be determined based on a combination of factors including experience, qualifications, work location, and internal pay alignment, in accordance with applicable laws.
