Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Custodian for the 3rd shift at our Taunton, MA distribution center. You will help keep facilities clean, sweep, mop and maintain the environment, enduring a wide temperature range (-25F to 100F) while supporting daily operations. No prior experience is required as we provide training.

The role operates Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6:30am, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Starting pay is $20.52 per hour, including a $1.00 second shift premium, plus monthly incentives

• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• No experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and empty the trash.
• Maintain buildings and landscaping in the distribution center.
• Work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) and adapt to shift needs.
• Support team during daily operations on the 3rd shift.

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a custodian, you'll support our team by maintaining the buildings to ensure clean, organized operations. You will also sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, empty the trash, clear snow, and maintain the landscaping. You can expect to work in extreme temperatures (-25F to 100F) in the distribution center. There’s no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

Does this look like you?

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check.
