South Texas Health System seeks an experienced FED operations leader to ensure efficient functioning of freestanding emergency departments. You will develop policies with the health system, train staff, and manage budgets and performance targets across multiple sites.

You will coordinate with EMS providers, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain open communication with Medical Directors and physicians. A strong focus on service excellence and adherence to the system's standards is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive management in acute care, preferably with ED/FED oversight.
• Detail oriented with focus on multi-site operations.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and FED management per evidence-based guidelines.
• Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting for departments/projects.
• Effective written and verbal communication with diverse groups.
• Knowledge of compliance programs and Code of Conduct requirements.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, TX) for surveys.

Responsabilités

• Oversee operation of the FEDs under the market leadership.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures with system coordination.
• Lead staff training, education, hiring and retention efforts.
• Prepare and manage capital and operating budgets; analyze financial performance.
• Conduct market analysis and develop strategies to improve keepage and budget performance.
• Engage with EMS providers to build a productive network for FEDs.
• Ensure services align with mission, vision and compliance standards.
