Job summary

Marvelconsultants is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Director to oversee a growing network of Freestanding Emergency Departments in the Charleston, South Carolina market. This market-level leadership role spans four current FSEDs with expansion to seven locations, reporting to the ACNO and coordinating with two hospitals.

The Director will drive clinical quality, patient experience, staff development, and regulatory compliance across the network, including imaging, labs, admitting,

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN licensed in the state.
• Minimum 3 years in Emergency Services.
• Minimum 3 years in nursing leadership.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across multiple Freestanding Emergency Departments.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality emergency care and positive patient experience.
• Lead, coach, and develop three managers and engage staff.
• Maintain standard ED clinical and operational practices across the market.
• Monitor quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvements.
• Oversee resource allocation, staffing, productivity, and operations.
• Collaborate with Imaging, Lab, Admitting, Security, Environmental Services, and other support departments.
• Build relationships with physicians, hospital executives, and department leaders across both hospitals.
