Craft Agency Ltd., a leading New York strategic branding agency, seeks a Freelance Senior Verbal Strategist to join a growing team of strategists, creatives, designers, and brand builders.
You will lead verbal strategy and identity end-to-end, translating complex tech and business ideas into language people can actually use. You will work with CEOs and founders, facilitating workshops and interviews, and will shape the agency's own verbal point of view.
A leading New York strategic branding agency that collaborates with companies building the future of tech, culture, and innovation, this is a team busy launching, scaling, reinventing, and entering what's next: building brands with meaning, momentum, and cultural gravity.
We're looking for a Freelance Senior Verbal Strategist to join a growing team of strategists, creatives, designers, and brand builders.
You'll lead verbal strategy and identity end-to-end: pulling the core idea out of a messy business challenge, then building the voice, messaging systems, naming and narrative around it. The work spans companies at launch, scale and reinvention - recent engagements have run across enterprise AI, deep tech, fintech and robotics, alongside globally recognised consumer and entertainment brands.
You'll be in the room with CEOs and founders - facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews, presenting thinking, and defending it. You'll partner closely with strategists and designers, and you'll help shape the agency's own verbal point of view. This is a chance to build a recognisable strategic voice, not to feed someone else's.
You have 7+ years in brand strategy, verbal identity, creative or copy strategy, or naming - most likely at a branding or naming agency, or as an established freelance verbal strategist.
You move fluidly from big-picture positioning to the precise sentence, and you're assured with senior stakeholders in the room. You've translated complex technology and business ideas into language people can actually use. You want ownership of the idea, not just the words.
