Job summary

Mars United Commerce is hiring a Freelance Manager, Commerce Media to design world‑class shopper media strategies for CPG clients at major retailers. Leverage Marilyn® Predictive Commerce Intelligence, proprietary data, and strong retailer connections to drive conversion and ROI.

You will guide teams on plan building, optimization, and measurement, while forging partnerships with retailers and vendors to secure first‑look opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• Experience doing shopper/retail media strategy at an agency, retailer media network or CPG manufacturer.
• Knowledge of self‑ and managed‑service retail search strategy and execution (Criteo, CitrusAd, Pacvue, Kenshoo, Google, etc.).
• Strong existing relationships with key retailer personnel and/or vendors.
• Ambitious self‑starter with ownership of work.
• Passion for retail and omnichannel media landscape.
• Creative and strategic thinker with problem‑solving skills.
• Curious and always seeking improvements.
• Collaborative but able to challenge peers for best results.
• Confident presenter with clear communication.
• Hands-on doer with practical mindset.
• Adept at analyzing data and extracting actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop insight‑backed media strategies for CPG clients at assigned retailers.
• Advise teams on media plan development, optimization and measurement.
• Foster relationships with client stakeholders and partner agencies across campaigns.
• Build relationships with retailers and vendors, pursuing beta opportunities.
• Stay current with platforms and trends in retailer media.
• Collaborate with activation and retail teams to ensure on‑budget, on‑time execution.
• Develop POVs on media vehicles and track performance of retailer vs national vehicles.
• Help define and improve our media strategy offerings.
