Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Senior Fraud Strategy Analyst to join our Fraud Risk Management team. This role will design, execute, and continuously improve fraud detection, prevention, and mitigation strategies across the organization.

The Senior Fraud Strategy Analyst will own fraud rules, analyze performance, and respond to emerging threats while partnering with risk, operations, compliance, legal, technology, product, and customer-facing functions to strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of progressive experience in fraud strategy or financial crimes.
• Experience in regulated banking/fintech environments.
• Experience creating, tuning, or optimizing fraud rules.
• Experience analyzing rule performance using data.
• Knowledge of fraud typologies across identity, payment, and account takeover.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize fraud detection and prevention strategies across the fraud lifecycle.
• Manage fraud rules platform and test changes.
• Analyze results to reduce false positives while maintaining capture.
• Identify emerging trends and adjust strategy.
• Conduct root cause analysis of fraud events and translate findings.
• Collaborate with risk, operations, legal, technology, product, and customer teams.
• Support governance, documentation, and performance monitoring.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
